Flower vase
The design of this vase is beautifully curved, like a dress when dancing the waltz or a ship propeller. The unique pattern on the surface is the result of a traditional casting technique known as fukiwake that mixes two types of metal producing a unique marbled pattern. The copper alloy has a disinfectant quality which extends the life of cut flowers. Waltz retains stability, even when adorned with large flowers or branches thanks to the robust metal from which it is formed.
ワルツを踊っている時のドレスのような、あるいは船のプロペラのような、軽やかな曲線をまとったデザインの花器。表面の独特な模様は、伝統的な「吹き分け」の技法を用いている。２種類の金属を同時に流し込み、マーブル状の模様を生み出す技法であり、その模様は１つひとつが世界に1つしか存在しない。加えて、それぞれの面には違う模様が浮き出るために3つの表情を楽しむことができる。銅合金は殺菌作用があるため、切り花が長持ちすると言われている。また、金属の重量感と丈夫さで、大きな花や枝ものを生けても非常に安定感がある。
